Senior Engineer Yield Engineering

GlobalFoundries, a leader in semiconductor manufacturing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Yield Engineer to join our Bangalore team. You'll play a crucial role in driving yield improvement and product performance for advanced technology nodes (45nm and below) across multiple products and customer applications. This position supports our 300mm wafer fabs in Malta, US, and requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration within a global environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor yield trends and drive improvements in technology nodes at 45nm and below.
• Analyze and resolve yield limiters through data analysis, failure analysis, and device knowledge.
• Support fab operational issues, including disposition of holds, process change reviews, and scrap investigations.
• Collaborate with process module engineering to enhance manufacturing robustness, cycle time, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop advanced yield characterization and data analysis methodologies.
• Provide clear and timely communication to home teams and be flexible with rotational weekend shifts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. (4-6 years) or M.S./M.Tech. (0-3 years) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Applied Physics.
• Strong understanding of circuit design, solid-state device physics, and submicron FET architectures.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, globally matrixed team.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience in circuit design, characterization, test, yield enhancement, and/or product engineering.
