Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (K8s), and Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Designing, deploying, and operating monolithic, microservices, and serverless applications across cloud environments
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of applications
- Implement automated testing and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Automating infrastructure provisioning, testing, and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to ensure full system observability
- Embedding security best practices throughout the development lifecycle (DevSecOps) and ensuring compliance with relevant security standards
- Working with various database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to support application development and deployment needs
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to our infrastructure
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing
- Handling incident management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex issues in different environments (DEV, STAGING, PROD)
- Willing to work outside regular office hours or on weekends when required for deployments or urgent issues
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related field
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (K8s), and Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Experienced with automation tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experienced with Docker or other containerization platforms
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with other Cloud technologies like: AWS, Azure is a big plus
- Experienced in Puppet or other configuration management tools is a plus
