Platform Engineering
- Build and maintain Kubernetes deployments, Helm charts, and configs.
- Support service migration from Nomad to EKS.
- Implement namespaces, RBAC, limits, and quotas.
- Configure CronJobs, Jobs, health checks, and autoscaling.
CI/CD
- Convert existing Drone CI pipelines to GitHub Actions templates.
- Work with teams to implement automated builds, tests, and deploy flows.
- Integrate pipelines with FluxCD for GitOps delivery.
Infrastructure as Code
- Assist with Terragrunt → Terraform module translation.
- Run terraform plan/apply and support drift resolution.
- Participate in import of AWS resources.
Networking & Security
- Implement Kubernetes Network Policies.
- Support mTLS certificate generation and distribution.
- Assist in configuring secure ingress/egress.
Monitoring & Observability
- Configure dashboards, alerts, metrics, and logs.
- Incorporate OpenTelemetry instrumentation into services.
Team Collaboration
- Work with developers to onboard them onto the new platform.
- Participate in daily migration tasks, testing, and documentation.
Job qualifications:
Must have:
- 3–5+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong Kubernetes skills (deployments, services, Helm).
- Experience with AWS services (EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, EC2).
- Good understanding of Terraform (bonus: Terragrunt).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitOps.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Loki.
- Experience with containers, Docker, microservices debugging.
Nice to Have (Plus Points)
- Exposure to platform migrations or re-platforming projects.
- Experience with mTLS, cert-manager, or service mesh.
- Backstage or developer portal experience.
- Understanding of Karpenter, spot scaling, sandbox environments.
