Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Contracts team, including planning resources and developing policies & processes.
- Develop and implement bidding strategies aligned with business objectives and client requirements.
- Provide guidance on contractual terms in service agreements and review of RFP (Request for Proposal).
- Establish and maintain fee scale benchmarks based on current market situations across countries and project typologies.
- Oversee administration of consultancy contracts, including contract execution, verification of claims, additional services administration, and client approvals.
- Represent the company in client, consultant, and contractor meetings related to contractual and fee agreements.
- Conduct complex analysis of consultancy contracts, streamline procedures, drive continuous improvement, and prepare project reports for senior management.
- Manage, review, and prepare documentation for RFP submissions and fee proposals.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of Main Services Agreements / Sub-Consultancy Agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Support Directors in managing project financial health (invoicing, resource planning, revenue projections).
- Review and provide recommendations on adaptations of Standard Conditions of Contract by client-side representatives (lawyers, QS).
- Vet and finalize reports and correspondences from the Contracts team.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Construction Economics, Building Science, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years experience in procurement, contracts administration, and commercial negotiations in construction/real estate/design consultancy sectors.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiations, strategic procurement, and contracting in a regulated environment.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop a professional team in a decentralized setting.
- Experience handling large-scale / mega projects, with knowledge of international contract forms (e.g., PSSCOC, SIA, REDAS, FIDIC, etc.).
- Expertise in contracts review, risk management, and change management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
