Senior Consultant – Collaboration

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – Collaboration to lead and manage the Microsoft 365 Collaboration platform for a prestigious financial services client. The role combines deep technical expertise with team leadership responsibilities and requires ownership of SharePoint, Microsoft 365 Collaboration technologies, Power Platform solutions, governance, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will act as the technical lead for collaboration technologies while managing a team of engineers and working closely with business stakeholders in a highly regulated financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Architecture

• Own and manage SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises environments.
• Design and maintain site architecture, information architecture, governance, permissions, and compliance controls.
• Administer Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies including OneDrive, Microsoft Forms, and related M365 services.
• Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows and automation solutions.
• Support SharePoint migration initiatives and platform modernization programs.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Lead technical solution design workshops and implementation activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure solutions meet security, governance, risk, and audit requirements.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 collaboration engineers.
• Allocate work, manage capacity, and oversee project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Governance & Security

• Implement and maintain M365 governance standards.
• Partner with security and risk teams on DLP, compliance, and access management initiatives.
• Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance of collaboration platforms.
• Maintain platform health, performance, and operational stability.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with business and technology stakeholders.
• Present platform roadmap, operational updates, and risk assessments to leadership teams.
• Manage relationships with Microsoft and third-party vendors.
• Serve as the primary SME for Collaboration technologies.

Experience

• 8-10+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Minimum 2 years of team leadership or people management experience.
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Investment Management, or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Proven experience managing enterprise collaboration platforms.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
• ITIL Foundation Certification (v3/v4) or higher
