Job Purpose
Senior Business Analyst (SBA) is responsible for understanding the business need, capturing the domain expertise that the potential client has, and translating this accurately into a succinct requirements document that will serve as the input to the software designers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions (current and future).
Perform requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
Document the products vision and the projects scope.
Document the business requirements in detail, (requirement specifications) with all assumptions and caveats included.
Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Performing user acceptance testing.
Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctiona l requirements.
Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
Allocating resources and maintaining cost efficiency.
Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Serve as an internal point of contact for development whenever requirements need to be clarified.
Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organizations requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools.
Take responsibility for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the process compliance of each corresponding department.
Required Qualifications
4 years experience in BA role with in-depth knowledge of management application.
Agile/Scrum; experience in writing user stories.
Experience with presales project.
Knowledge of software development process, especially software requirement analysis and RUP.
Good command of English communications skills.
The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio.
Exceptional presentation and client relation skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, as well as oral and written communication skills.
Thorough, paying attention to details.
Ability to work with minimal direction on multiple projects.
Excellent documentation skills.
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
A track record of following through on commitments.
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Experience in leading and developing top-performing teams.
