Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and organised professional to support hospital-wide emergency preparedness, incident management and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency Preparedness & Planning
- Manage emergency preparedness plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational workflows.
- Coordinate reviews with relevant departments, consolidate feedback and monitor follow-up actions.
- Assess regulatory and organisational requirements, identify operational gaps and recommend implementation measures.
Exercises, Training & Readiness
- Plan and coordinate emergency preparedness exercises, including tabletop simulations and large-scale deployment exercises.
- Develop exercise scenarios, prepare supporting documentation and coordinate post-exercise reviews.
- Track improvement actions to strengthen organisational readiness and response capabilities.
Incident Management & Operational Readiness
- Support operations centre activation, incident coordination, situation reporting and post-incident reviews.
- Maintain readiness of incident command, communication and escalation procedures.
Governance & Regulatory Coordination
- Coordinate regulatory and institutional taskings, prepare submissions and management updates, and monitor deliverables.
- Support governance meetings, committee administration and operational readiness reporting.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage cross-functional projects involving multiple departments, stakeholders and operational dependencies.
- Prepare management presentations, briefing notes, progress trackers and decision papers.
- Facilitate collaboration between clinical and non-clinical teams to drive project implementation and closure of operational gaps.
Resource & Equipment Readiness
- Coordinate the tracking, maintenance, replacement and procurement of emergency preparedness equipment and resources, where required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Lead selected hospital-wide preparedness initiatives and complex exercises.
- Analyse operational challenges and develop recommendations to support management decision-making.
- Represent the operations function at designated internal and external meetings.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and support work allocation and quality review, where required.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health / Business Management or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience
