The Revenue Accountant will support and scale end‑to‑end revenue recognition and order‑to‑cash processes in a growing SaaS environment. This role partners closely with Finance, Engineering, and commercial teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient revenue operations.

Description
As a Revenue Accountant, you will be drive revenue recognition processes, including assistance with contract review, revenue allocation, and recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Review and analyze customer contracts for proper revenue treatment, including multiple-element arrangements.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and revenue recording.
- Assist billings & collections in resolving billing discrepancies, and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Streamline revenue workflows and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate deferred revenue schedules and ensure proper documentation and tracking.
- Oversee billing cycles and revenue-related adjustments.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of revenue accounts to the general ledger.
- Support all other month-end close activities related to revenue,
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering and others to ensure usage data completeness and alignment between billing systems and the GL
- Support audit requests and help strengthen internal controls and documentation
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license, Big 4 public accounting experience, and SaaS/technology industry experience strongly preferred
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles, including ASC 606, and accounting best practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with customers, team members, and cross-functional departments
- Accountable in a remote work environment.
