On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Regional Security Manager (APAC) to provide leadership across cyber and physical security domains. This is a high-visibility, business-critical role, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while ensuring robust security governance, risk management, and compliance across multiple countries.
Only candidates based in, or willing to relocate to, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam will be considered.
What you will do:
- Provide regional oversight of cyber and physical security across APAC offices
- Act as a trusted security advisor to senior leadership, influencing decision-making and risk posture
- Lead incident response and crisis management across cyber and physical security events
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and security frameworks
- Conduct security risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and driving mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with: IT and Cyber Security Teams, Compliance and Audit functions, Physical Security Teams and External Partners
- Build and maintain relationships with regulators, government, and external bodies
- Drive a strong security culture and governance framework across the region
- Provide strategic oversight of physical security, ensuring all offices meet required standards (non-operational)
- Support the development of a scalable regional security function
What you will need:
- Strong ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate security risks into business context
- Proven experience operating in regional or global environments across multiple time zones
- A proactive and pragmatic approach to risk management, incident handling, and decision-making
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
Must have:
- 8+ years experience in Cyber Security, ideally within enterprise environments
- Experience in risk, governance, and compliance within regulated industries (preferably financial services)
- Strong understanding of security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, COBIT
- Proven track record of handling audits, regulatory requirements, and security reviews
- Experience leading or supporting incident response and crisis management
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
Nice to have:
- Exposure to physical security (governance, risk, or oversight level)
- Background in banking or financial services
- Experience working with regulators, law enforcement, or government bodies
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, or similar
- Experience in large, complex, multi-country organisations
