Regional Sales Manager Vietnam (Smart Cards)

About the Role
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand sales initiatives in Vietnam within the Smart Cards, Banking Cards, and Security Printing industry. The role requires strong knowledge of Smart Card Solutions, BFSI markets, and global payment card standards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and PCI DSS).
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building a strong sales funnel, and managing key client relationships in Vietnam and surrounding markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and business development strategies for Smart Cards / Metal Cards in Vietnam and other target markets.
- Meet revenue, DSO, and SFI objectives.
- Analyze markets, competition, customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks to deliver actionable business plans.
- Build a structured sales pipeline with measurable growth opportunities.
- Identify and engage new prospects through market research, industry forums, and trade fairs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, commercial terms, and delivery standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams:
- Pricing/Costing for competitive and profitable quotations.
- Operations to ensure order fulfillment as per quality and delivery standards.
- Finance & Accounts for documentation, billing, and collections.
- Support marketing initiatives, including branding, positioning, and competitive intelligence.
- Provide market intelligence reports and insights to senior management.
- Manage CRM and strengthen client and partner relationships across the region.

Technical / Functional Expertise
- Proven track record in BFSI, Smart Cards, or Security Printing industries.
- Understanding of international payment card standards (PCI DSS, VISA, MasterCard, AmEx).
- Knowledge of customs, export-import procedures, and international trade practices.
- Budgeting, marketing, and solution-selling expertise.
- Proficiency in English (mandatory); Vietnamese language proficiency is a strong advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (B.E.) or Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Smart Cards, Banking Cards, or Security Printing.
Stakeholder Engagement
This role involves direct collaboration with customers, vendors, industry associations, overseas partners, senior leadership, and internal teams (Operations, Pricing/Costing, Tendering, and Finance).
