The Quality Engineer, Supplier Development plays a key role in strengthening supplier quality performance and manufacturing capability across Southeast Asia.

In this role, you will work closely with suppliers and cross‑functional partners to lead audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Through strong technical expertise, structured problem‑solving, and collaboration, you will support consistent product quality, reliable delivery, and readiness for new product introduction.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Lead supplier development initiatives to improve product quality, delivery reliability, and manufacturing capability.
  • Plan and conduct supplier assessments and on‑site QMS / process audits based on risk and performance.
  • Evaluate supplier capability across processes such as assembly, machining, welding, composites, heat treatment, painting, and surface treatment.
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) from root cause analysis through closure and effectiveness verification.
  • Coach suppliers on structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, A3, 5‑Why).
  • Support supplier readiness for new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp‑up.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to manage supplier quality risks across the region.

What You Need to Win

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Chemical, or related field).
  • Experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, auditing, or supplier development.
  • Hands‑on experience performing supplier audits and managing CAPA.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Auditor certification (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Vietnamese; Chinese is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel regionally to supplier sites.
