About the role

What you'll own

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned messaging channel integrations - from discovery through launch and iteration.
  • Define and maintain the product roadmap for your channels, balancing customer needs, compliance requirements, and platform capabilities.
  • Translate messaging platform API capabilities and constraints into product opportunities and technical requirements.
  • Partner with engineering leads to scope of work, making trade-off decisions, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Work with design to create intuitive experiences that abstract away the complexity of multi-channel messaging.
  • Monitor messaging platform vendor updates (API changes, deprecations, new features) and proactively adapt to the product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with customer success and sales to gather feedback, understand pain points, and prioritize accordingly.
  • Write clear PRDs with well-defined acceptance criteria, edge cases, and compliance considerations.
  • Drive functional parity initiatives to ensure a consistent user experience across messaging channels.

What success looks like

  • Your channels have a clear, prioritized roadmap that's informed by customer feedback, platform capabilities, and business goals - and the team trusts it.
  • You ship features on a predictable cadence. Releases are well-scoped, well-communicated, and don't surprise stakeholders.
  • When a messaging platform announces API changes or deprecations, you've already assessed the impact and have a plan before anyone asks.
  • Engineering and design see you as a true partner - someone who brings context, makes decisions, and unblocks the team rather than just writing tickets.
  • Your channels achieve and maintain functional parity with the rest of the platform, so customers get a consistent experience regardless of which channel they use.
  • Customer-facing teams come to you as the go-to person for your channels - you know the edge cases, the limitations, and the workarounds.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or platform products.
  • AI-native mindset - you actively use AI and automation tools in your daily workflow (research, writing, data analysis, prototyping) and can identify where AI should be embedded in the product development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of messaging platforms and their ecosystems (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram). Direct experience working with messaging or communication platform APIs is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing API-driven products or third-party platform integrations - you're comfortable reading API documentation, understanding rate limits, webhooks, and data models.
  • Ability to navigate the constraints of external platform policies and translate them into product decisions.
  • Solid technical acumen - you can hold your own in architecture discussions and understand trade-offs between different implementation approaches.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, insurance) or with compliance-sensitive products is a plus.
