The Role

As aFounding Product Engineerat Affitor, youre not just codingyoure thearchitect of your product, acting like a CEO of what you build. In this co-founder-level role within our 5-person early-stage startup, youll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Product, Design, and Growth teams, making bold decisions that shape the product experience and drive explosive company growth.

Youll take ideas from0 to 1, crafting real-world solutions like AI-driven partner automation tools, while laying the groundwork to scale from1 to 100with systems ready for global traffic. Beyond coding, youll steer product strategy, design intuitive AI interfaces, and chart the roadmap. Inspired by Airbnbs founding engineers, youll be a multidisciplinary wizardthriving across full-stack, DevOps, and UXin a chaotic yet thrilling startup environment. Core requirements:

• Hacker mindset & autonomy: Self-starter who tackles ambiguous problems, with a track record of shipping MVPs or side projects (AI/SaaS a plus). Junior-mid level is fine if you learn fast and move faster.
• Technical versatility: Familiar with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js (Python a bonus for AI/automation); basic understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS/GCP, Docker, or Terraform. Passionate about integrating LLMs/AI into production.
• Product intuition: Deeply understand user needs (e.g., marketers craving automation), translating them into intuitive technical solutions that prioritize market impact over shiny tech.
• Cultural fit: Fired up by Affitors mission, ready for 80+ hour weeks when needed, with sharp communication and tight collaboration with our dynamic, fast-learning founding team. US experience is a big plus for global perspective.
