We're looking for a creative, driven marketing executive to help shape how the Mercantile brand connects with customers: online, in-store, and through unforgettable events. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Private Client Sales Manager (Premium Spirits & Wines)
Reporting To: General Manager
Location: Ho Chi Minh/ Hanoi, Vietnam
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Portfolio Management
• Manage and curate a portfolio of approximately 30–50 high-value clients, including private
collectors, premium retail buyers, hospitality partners, and high-value direct consumers.
• Maintain detailed client records, engagement history, and account development plans.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and introduce new premium clients.
Revenue Generation
• Achieve individual annual sales targets contributing toward the company goal in attributable sales.
• Develop new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term clients.
• Manage pricing discussions, negotiations, and closing of high-value transactions.
Relationship Development
• Build strong and trusted relationships with premium customers through personalized
service.
• Organize tailored product tastings, private client events, and bespoke offers
• Create long-term client loyalty and encourage referrals within high-value customer
networks.
Account Planning & Forecasting
• Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
• Track opportunities and conversion rates through CRM systems.
• Maintain structured account planning to support sustainable growth.
Cross-Channel Sales
• Coordinate B2B sales with restaurants, bars, hotels, and retailers.
• Support Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) premium sales including private bottle purchases and
limited edition releases.
• Ensure seamless coordination between Mercantile retail operations and commercial sales
channels.
Marketing & Events
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute client tastings, VIP experiences,
and premium events.
• Represent Mercantile and Alchemy brands at industry events and brand activations.
• Support brand storytelling and customer engagement initiatives.
Inventory & Order Coordination
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and
delivery.
• Monitor product availability and ensure smooth order processing and invoicing.
• Provide after-sales support to maintain strong client relationships.
Reporting & Market Insights
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
• Provide feedback on market trends, pricing challenges, competitor activity, and client
preferences.
• Share insights to support business strategy and product portfolio planning.
Compliance & Brand Standards
• Ensure all client engagement and sales activities comply with company policies and
regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high standards in representing Mercantile and Alchemy brands.
PERFORMANCE METRICS / KPIs
• Annual sales revenue generated from assigned portfolio
• Average revenue per client and year-on-year growth
• Client retention rate (target ≥80%)
• Number of new high-value accounts acquired each quarter
• Gross margin performance on completed sales
• On-time delivery and order accuracy rate
• Number and quality of VIP tastings and client engagement events
PERSONAL SPECS
• Minimum 3+ years experience in sales, key account management, or private client services
within premium spirits, wine, luxury F&B, or luxury goods industries.
• Proven track record in building strong client relationships and closing high-value deals.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience organizing client tastings, events, or premium brand activations is preferred
• Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales forecasting.
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings and events.
• Flexible schedule including evening or weekend events when required.
WORKING TIME
• Working time: Maximum 48 hours per week, based on business requirements.
• May be required to work public holidays or evenings depending on client events or
promotions.
• Weekly day off: 1 day per week.
• Holidays and leave: In accordance with Vietnam Labor Code and company policy.
