The Job:
As a Packaging Engineer, you will join the HTAS team at Compass II, a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker in Vietnam. In this role, you will play a crucial part in special projects to drive business goals while adhering to company. Your responsibilities will include closely coordinating with different stakeholders over the world to ensure the successful delivery of special projects in the plants.
You will be working in VSIP 1, Binh Duong and total working hours is 48 hours weekly, from Mon Fri.
Youll get to:
Design the packaging structure:
- Design suitable packaging according to product characteristics, transportation and storage requirements.
- Use software to create packaging design drawings.
- Make sure packaging materials are selected and tested to ensure they meet product protection and cost effectiveness requirements.
- Design/create packaging die lines as required.
Maintain BOM:
- Create the PN# and BOMs.
- Maintain BOMs/ drawings to ensure that the specifications and quantity of all packaging materials are correct.
Solve packaging problems in the production process:
- Provide technical support and solutions to improve packaging efficiency and quality.
- Work with production, quality to optimize packaging.
- Manage a database of packaging information by SKU.
Other responsibilities:
- Carry out packaging cost analysis and optimization to find ways to reduce costs.
- Ensure packaging design complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate packaging specifications, information, and instruction sheets.
- Co-ordinate packaging changes/launches with production, SBU, and vendors.
- Packing local testing and report sharing
- Bridge communication between the plant site and global lab
- Undertaking other responsibilities of Line Managers.

Education: Bachelors degree in Packaging Technology or Packaging Engineering or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of working experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Packaging Engineering
Skills / Personalities:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD design software for packaging design
- Understand the characteristics of various packaging materials, such as corrugated cardboard, plastic, etc., and their application scenarios
- Understand the packaging standards, BOMs creation
- Upper intermediate to advanced English skills, particularly in reading and writing.
- Effective organizational skills for task prioritization, record maintenance, and efficient administration.
- Proficient time management to meet deadlines and adapt to changes or delays.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities for identifying and implementing timely solutions.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
- Teamwork skills for collaboration and achieving shared goals.
