About the job:
- Manage all activities related to the procurement of Aldo merchandise and the Operation of the Aldo concept in VTI regions
- Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers&apos expectations and the companys objectives
Responsibilities:
Sales Budget & Buying Budget:
- Evaluating the sales results of the previous season to determine sales budget proposal of the new season ( Comp Growth %, System Growth % )
- Doing an Analysis of sales contribution data of Full price/Markdown to propose the BTS ratio
- Forecast Profit/Sales and plan the budget
- Remain up to date with Industry best practice
Buying:
- Identifying/ trends and understanding the Market&aposs demand
- Understanding the timeline, the tools, and the process to place the orders.
- Placing the orders per SKUs with appropriate depth after going through the pictorial catalogue, mentioning the product features, price, color, and other relevant details.
- Reviewing the final summary of the buy to ensure the priority criteria of the business&aposs product strategy.
- Submitting the final buy.
Seasonal Brand Calendar:
- Building the Seasonal Brand Calendar to develop business rhythm cadence into season launch, national events/holidays, MSS, ESS, so that Operations, VM, Marketing, and Merchandise could drive business performance.
Distribution schedule:
- Establishing efficient seasonal receipt target to ensure enough SKUs/quantity are in stores that adapt monthly sales target
- Cooperating Logistics & Warehouse Department to ensure the timeline & schedule as planned.
- Taking action to replenish inventory to stores with potential selling rate to maximize sales.
- Maintaining optimal initial stock levels across all locations while managing a 30% reserve.
- Utilizing reserves for automatic replenishment across all channels.
In-season Product Management:
- Overseeing the planning and implementation of merchandising strategies
- Collaborating with the Marketing/OPS department to brainstorm new projects, campaigns that follow business strategy
- Interpreting sales reports and providing proposal on how to improve Sales results and reach Maximum Sales Potential
- Estimating/Projecting WOS and STS to understand Inventory position.
- Making weekly action plan on product campaign/ promotion scheme/best seller repeat/markdown proposal to achieve seasonal Sales Budget, Full Price sell through target, Carry over target and profitable margin.
Team development:
- Recruiting, Training and Coaching team member to build capability and motivate high performance
Requirements/Specifications:
Education:
A bachelor&aposs degree in business, fashion merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in merchandise management, buying, or planning within the fashion retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
Managerial/ Technical Leadership:
Team Management:
- Excellent leadership skills to oversee a team of merchandisers, buyers, and planners, providing guidance and support.
- Strong collaboration skills require with all internal Dept.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure timely product delivery.
- Experience in vendor selection, contract negotiations, and managing supplier performance to maintain product quality and availability.
Specific Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the fashion industry, including knowledge of different product categories, brands, and price points.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer preferences to make informed merchandising decisions.
- Experience in assortment planning, product selection, and inventory management to optimize sales and profitability.
- Familiarity with visual merchandising principles to create appealing product displays and store layouts.
