Job Description

Do you have what it takes as a Material Planner (Component) to make sure we have the right material in the factory to produce LEGO boxes that million of children love

Join LMV (LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam) and play a vital role in keeping production running smoothly — ensuring the right components are in the right place.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and order required materials (component) from other LEGO plants to create a feasible production plan for finished goods, through analysis of trade-offs and the application of lean principles.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and follow up on corrective actions when material shortages impact the finished goods production plan; expedite and coordinate special deliveries when needed.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels by proactively making decisions that prevent excess and obsolete materials.
  • Manage damaged and rejected materials, and initiate intercompany transfers of excess materials to other sites with active demand.
  • Ensure all planning systems are updated with the most accurate and up-to-date data at all times.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with planning teams at other LEGO sites globally.
  • Follow up on delivery quantities and dates for outbound orders, and report any inconsistencies to the relevant LEGO plants.
  • Support local follow-up on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and create monthly scrap orders for obsolete materials, including proposals to minimize future occurrences.
  • Manage and control the use of airfreight by actively taking actions that reduce costs.
  • Work continuously with a continuous improvement mindset and accomplish other tasks as assigned by the manager.
