Overview:
The Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the bank's financial landscape, including group and management reporting, tax management, and financial control. You will lead the management accounting team to ensure accuracy in forecasting and budgeting while acting as a key advisor to senior management.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Cost Control
- Oversee monthly Group reports under Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and ensure timely submission to the Regional Head Office and local Management.
- Manage the forecasting and budgeting process for bank-wide financial statements.
- Review Operating Expenses and Capital Expenditures registration in the Procurement-to-Payment system and control the payment process to ensure compliance with internal policies.
Tax Management, Strategy & Leadership
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations (including Value Added Tax, Corporate Income Tax, and Withholding Tax) through periodic reviews and maintain relationships with the Tax Office to anticipate regulatory amendments.
- Act as the secretary for the Asset and Liability Committee and the Cost Management Committee, presenting dashboards and financial reports to support senior management decision-making.
- Lead and develop a team of staff, managing resourcing requirements to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For
- University degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in banking accounting or financial reporting with solid knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate tax management; experience in audit services or multinational companies is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL and Power BI is preferred.
- Effective written and alternative communication skills in both Vietnamese and English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems under tight deadlines.
