Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Provide cost information for conduction of feasibility studies.

- Supervise the team to provide cost advice and conduct value engineering exercise during various stages.

- Participate in tender process and advice on tender and contract related matters.

- Manage Cost Consultants (QS) to prepare cost plans, cost reports, variation order reports, certificate of payment, tender/contract documents, final accounts, etc.

- Monitor construction costs and review contractors claims to ensure reasonableness.

- Attend all meetings where it is necessary for the cost management of the project and co-ordinate with project manager, consultants.

- Advise and manage contractual issues with contractors.

- Assist Head of Cost and Contract in establishing procurement procedure and policies. Responsible for setting up a team to do procurement of materials and services.

- Any other works as instructed by Head of Cost and Contracts.

- Follow and implement the ISO Quality Management System (ISO 9001) and the Environment, Health and Safety Management System of the Company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in building projects, either in a construction firm or property development company.

- Able to motivate and lead team members as well as mentor junior staffs.

- Good working attitude, a high level of professionalism, initiative and integrity.

- Have good knowledge of construction contracts and different contractual arrangements.

- Good team player and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Meticulous with excellent communications skills.
