Job Purpose
- To monitor capital, capital related ratios as required by local regulatory & Group Finance and initiate capital injection/capital raising process, if necessary.
- To prepare, present and interpret financial reports, both internal & external that related to the responsible portfolio including EXCO book.
- To provide advice and support to CEO, CFO, Group Finance in terms of revenue generation, funding plan, FTP, improvement from process and operations to maximize bank benefit.
- To provide analysis, strategies and suggestions on all financial implications to strengthen and formalize corporate strategy planning and decision making process from time to time.
- Any other responsibilities /task as assigned by Line Manager from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
On Capital Management:
- To monitor capital, capital related ratios as required by local regulatory & Group Finance on monthly basis and report to Vietnam Capital Management Commitment quarterly.
- To initiate capital injection/capital raising process, if necessary.
- To involve in various management meetings to discuss and debate on capital issues.
- To provide capital plan during annual business planning and forecast to ensure capital requirements met all the time.
- To involve in the capital allocation to businesses and set the risk adjusted return for every business units when required.
- To assist in the annual business planning and stress testing processes (ICAAP).
- To assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
On Balance Sheet Management:
- To develop the mechanism of FTP as well as other CBSM related policies.
- To calculate and publish monthly COF, VOF and product NIM.
- To assist the CFO in building and maintaining simulation models to analyze Net Interest Income (NII) and profitability.
- To support various groups within Finance and the Bank with relevant analyses of the impact of business decisions on the bank's profitability and performance, capital ratios, regulatory requirements, pricing and others.
- To generate accurate, timely and comprehensible management reports for ALCO, executive management, Board of Members and regulatory authorities and ensure implementation of ALCO's strategic initiatives.
- To assist in the annual business planning.
- To assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
Job Specification
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance/Banking/Economics/Financial Engineering)
- Master's degree is an advantage
- At least 2 years of experience of relevant banking background in established bank / financial institutions
- Competence in Capital Management
- Knowledgeable in Balance Sheet Management/ALM is preferrable
Technical/Functional skills
- Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
- Knowledgeable of accounting & finance (VAS, IFRS) and banking business.
- Good presentation and influencing skills.
