I. Key Responsibilities
Shipments and Deliveries (50%)
- Oversee the transportation of products from one location to another, such as warehouses or warehouses to end users.
- Arrange product pickups and deliveries with transportation companies and route drivers accordingly.
- Typically, conduct a cost analysis of several transportation companies to select one that is cost-efficient and can handle the shipment loads.
Build Relationships with Vendors (20%)
- The logistics supervisor must communicate with sales forces and customers.
- They must ensure that all parties are working together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent, and delivered in a timely manner.
- Contacting various transportation companies to get shipping quotes and deciding on the best carriers based on cost, availability, and reliability.
Maintain Warehouse Inventory (20%)
- Study client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs.
- Analyzing product orders to research the need for keeping certain items in stock.
- Responsible for re-ordering products as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels.
Other tasks as arranged by line manager (10%)
II. REQUIREMENT
- Bachelors degree in Business or related field required; Master&aposs degree preferred.
- Three years of experience as a supervisor, or a similar relevant position, is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Sourcing skills & saving cost skills.
- Time management
- Experience in the setup warehouse is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
