The Company
Our client is a leading industrial technology and engineering group with a global presence. They are looking for a Group Finance Manager on a 3 to 6 months contract.
The Role
You will lead both corporate and group-level finance functions while partnering closely with business leaders to drive strategic decision-making. Reporting to the senior management, you will oversee the end-to-end finance and accounting operations and act as a key business partner to Business Unit Heads by providing financial insights, supporting forecasting and budgeting activities, and assessing the financial impact of business initiatives. The role encompasses responsibility for financial reporting, management reporting, tax compliance, treasury and working capital management, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and continuous improvement of internal controls and processes.
At the group level, you will lead the preparation of consolidated financial reports, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and board reporting materials, while overseeing year-end closing activities and acting as the primary liaison with external and internal auditors. You will drive group-wide initiatives, support risk management and treasury strategies, coordinate insurance renewals, manage stakeholder and shareholder reporting requirements, and partner with the CFO on audit, risk, and governance matters. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence financial strategy, operational efficiency, and business performance across multiple entities.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate is a qualified Chartered Accountant of Singapore with a Degree in Accountancy from a reputable university, with prior audit experience and at least five years of commercial finance experience covering Controlling, FP&A, treasury, and full-spectrum finance functions.
You should possess strong expertise in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International), with exposure to other GAAP frameworks considered advantageous. Prior experience in group financial consolidation across regional or global entities with complex corporate structures is essential, including equity accounting for overseas joint ventures. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial results and recommendations to senior management. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in financial systems and reporting tools, and possess proven people management, leadership, and influencing skills to effectively partner with stakeholders across multiple business units.
