Position Overview

As an Industrial Energy Efficiency & Commissioning Engineer at TERAO Asia, you will play a critical role in both the technical execution and strategic development of our services. Your responsibilities will range from executing energy efficiency and commissioning projects to actively supporting the business development of these services. You will help shape the future of our energy and commissioning offering in Asia through technical delivery, methodology development, and client engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Vietnam Energy Efficiency Business Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Project Execution

Conduct ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 energy audits for industrial facilities.

Perform monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx) using trend analysis and data visualization techniques.

Actively contribute to ongoing commissioning (Cx) and retro-commissioning (RCx) projects, particularly for HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and other industrial utilities.

Analyze energy consumption and equipment performance to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.

Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including findings, recommendations, and implementation strategies.

2. Business Development Support

Assist pre-sales activities by providing technical inputs, drafting scopes of work, and attending client meetings.

Help promote commissioning and energy efficiency services both internally and externally to expand the companys market reach.

3. Methodology and Tool Development

Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal tools, such as calculation sheets, data dashboards, and process templates, to enhance service delivery.

Support the refinement of methodologies for energy audits, commissioning, and post-implementation measurement and verification (M&V).

4. Client Engagement

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, gaining a clear understanding of their operations, constraints, and expectations.

Act as a technical point of contact to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

5. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Assist in implementing energy monitoring systems and conducting performance reviews to verify and sustain energy savings.

Collaborate with clients on ISO 50001 implementation and continuous energy performance improvement programs.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Certification in CBCP (Certified Building Commissioning Professional) or related commissioning credentials is an advantage.

Certification in PMVA (Performance Measurement and Verification Analyst) or CMVP (Certified Measurement and Verification Professional) is a plus.
