Terao operates on the whole building life cycle, from design (green building specifications, energy efficiency design and calculation, etc.) to operation and maintenance (energy audits, certifications in operation, ).

Building Simulations (Energy/Thermal Modelling, Daylight Simulations, CFD, etc.)

Position overview:

As an Energy Modelling Intern at TERAO, you will assist the engineering team in evaluating the energy performance of building designs using simulation tools. This internship is a great opportunity to learn practical skills in energy modelling and sustainable design in a professional, international environment.

No prior experience is required, but an interest in energy efficiency and sustainable buildings is highly appreciated.

Job responsibility:

Under the responsibility of the Vietnam Operations Manager, the Energy Modelling Engineer participates in TERAO projects across Asia and globally, and covers the following main tasks:

• Supporting energy simulations using tools such as DesignBuilder to assess energy use and thermal comfort in building projects
• Collecting and organizing data related to building characteristics (materials, usage patterns, systems) for modelling purposes
• Assisting in analyzing results from energy simulations to help improve building performance
• Contributing to reports and presentations in English
• Participating in team meetings and learning sessions on sustainability and green building concepts

Requirements

Education

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, Environmental), Architecture, or a related field.

Skills & Attitude

• Interest in energy efficiency, sustainable design, and green buildings
• Basic knowledge of building systems is a plus
• Willingness to learn simulation software (e.g., DesignBuilder)
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good command of English in all four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Team player with a proactive and curious mindset
