Your role:
This role is responsible for formulating and implementing the HR strategic plan and operations to ensure that the company attracts and retains highly capable staff and an aligned and engaged workforce.
The scope of the role includes but not limited to culture building, talent acquisition & management, employee engagement, compensation management, policies, regulations and administration.
The Head of Human Resources is a member of the Senior Leadership Team
- Work location: HCMC Office based (2-3 days per week based in Ba Ria Plant, as needed)
- Reporting to General Manager
Key responsibilities:
Talent Development
- Lead Talent Review which is including succession planning and development planning with GM and HoDs by facilitating to identify high potential employees, create and implement the development talent management plan.
- Lead the development of comprehensive skills matrix, skills gap analysis and integrated program to add for these gaps, and together with other HoD to manage and ensure the effective implementation of the programs.
- Lead Graduate Development Program for key/ critical positions
- Develop a full project requirement from advertisement, on-site recruitment (test and interview), training in house (Vietnam & Overseas).
- Lead and update market good practice to design employee career roadmap which fits to individual development expectation and company grow plan.
- Optimize workforce and create more opportunities for high performers to expand their capability and role.
- Ensure workforce is fulfilled at least 90% to the business operation
Learning, Development and Performance Management
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Liaise with HoDs, SLTs to identify training needs and evaluate training quality.
- Searching qualified training service providers to ensure the training quality.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development through both internal sharing sessions and external training courses
- Ensure high performance employees by monitoring full cycled performance review process.
HR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage HR and administrative risks.
- Conduct audits and investigations as needed.
- Ensure Correct Action Plan is taken according to auditor&aposs timeline proposal
- Ensure all processes and procedures are documented, implemented and maintained as required for certifications such as ISO, FSSC, GMP...
Compensation and Benefits
- Well management of the payroll and benefits procedures to ensure the speed and accuracy of services to ensure proper communication is maintained with all employees and that questions and problems are answered and followed through in a timely basis for areas including social insurances, health insurance, payroll taxes, vacation, and holidays.
- Ensure monthly PIT and finalization are managed effectively and accurately for both local employees and expats.
- Collect and analyst market data to benchmark the competitiveness of the companys compensation and benefits package and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Propose the annual salary review process as per budget and current market trends.
- Ensure HR budget is well controlled
- Ensure the HRIS is updated in a timely and accurate manner and complies with any legal or data protection policies.
- Manage Cost Centre: participate in annual budget process, approve all cost centre expenditure, provide FYE by item by month, ensure cost centre budget is not exceeded.
Employee Relation
- Keep up to date with legal developments and advise leadership on a range of employee issues, manage resource planning and delivery timely and appropriate resourcing solutions (including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, performance management, etc.) for both experience and non experienced hires and ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management.
- Manage investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters; and provide advice or guidance to ensure well-managed, aligning labor code, policies and best practice.
- Develop, implement and maintain effective, fairness and consistent HR policies and procedures to ensure all employees is comprehensive, up-to-date and operate well.
- Develop and maintain an effective partnership with the trade union ensuring consultation and communication practices are routinely adopted to enable management to make effective decisions and successfully implement proposals.
- Establish human resources strategy to develop brand value and organizational culture of the company via performance assessment, working attitude, risk management, teamwork
Admin
- Ensure Administration support all colleagues, stakeholders smoothly and effectively, including but not limited to: Visa, transportation, accommodation, traveling arrangement for visitors; and other activities (for both local and expats colleagues)
- Monitor vendors/ service providers to fulfill their service quality in terms of HR&ADM operation
- Ensure the quality of daily meals to be well served to all EEs
Workplace Culture Development
- Liaise with OHSE department to foster a Safety Workplace rough hazard identification, risk assessment, development of SOPs, conducting safety talks, accident investigation and personal role modelling of exemplary OHSE standards.
- Conducting regular Town Hall Meeting and Management Meeting to cascade company objectives and business plan to the employees awareness such as safety, policies, quality and collaboration.
- Connect all employees to company sustainability program (Glass Ambassador Program) as One-Team
- Foster Company Brand as an Employer of Choice or Great Place to Work
Employee Engagement
- Propose and lead all engagement activities throughout a year
- Acknowledge and reward employees for their contributions and achievements.

Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in business administration/human resource management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines (employee relations, performance, recruitment, compensation, training, benefits, incentive, etc.).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Vietnamese applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources and general business practices.
- At least 5 years as HR Head position or 10 years as HR management-level in a manufacturing industry.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters tactfully and professionally.
