About Safetrust

Safetrust is building the future of identity.

Imagine walking into a building where your phone, watch, or face becomes your secure credential. No badges. No friction. Just seamless, secure access across physical and digital environments.

That's what we do.

Our platform combines mobile credentials, IoT devices, cloud-native architecture, and secure authentication to power access across offices, data centers, and enterprise systems—used by Fortune 200 companies and global partners.

We operate across the United States, Vietnam, and Australia, solving one of the most complex challenges in modern security: how identity works across devices, systems, and the physical world.

Why This Role Matters

This role directly impacts whether our products can be deployed globally.

As a Hardware Compliance Engineer, you will ensure Safetrust devices meet the regulatory, safety, and telecommunications standards required to operate in markets worldwide.

But more importantly—you won't just validate compliance. You will influence how products are designed, ensuring compliance is built in from the start, not fixed at the end.

Role Overview

Safetrust is seeking a Hardware Compliance Engineer to manage global certification and regulatory compliance for our hardware and IoT-enabled products.

You will own the certification lifecycle—from working with engineering during design, to managing lab testing and approvals, to maintaining ongoing compliance across multiple regions.

This is a hands-on role requiring technical depth, attention to detail, and the ability to work across hardware, firmware, and regulatory environments.

What You'll Do

Certification & Regulatory Compliance

  • Coordinate global product certification across standards such as FCC, CE, Anatel, and others
  • Manage ongoing certifications including UL 294, Bluetooth SIG, GSMA, and regional approvals
  • Track certification status, renewals, and regulatory changes across all products
  • Ensure compliance requirements are integrated early into product design

Lab & Testing Execution

  • Serve as the primary interface with testing labs and certification bodies
  • Prepare submission packages, documentation, and test plans
  • Track testing timelines, results, and corrective actions
  • Analyze test failures and partner with engineering teams to resolve issues

Engineering Collaboration

  • Work closely with hardware engineering during design and validation phases
  • Provide design-for-compliance guidance (PCB layout, RF, electrical considerations)
  • Support root cause analysis for certification issues
  • Ensure compliance requirements are embedded into development workflows

Documentation & Compliance Tracking

  • Maintain certification records, reports, and regulatory documentation
  • Build and manage a centralized tracking system for certifications and renewals
  • Provide visibility into certification status, risks, and timelines

Process & Program Development

  • Improve internal compliance processes and documentation standards
  • Help establish scalable compliance infrastructure for global growth
  • Support audit readiness and regulatory reviews

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware, PCB, or electrical design environments
  • Experience working with regulatory standards such as FCC, CE, Anatel, or similar
  • Experience preparing technical documentation and working with testing labs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple certifications simultaneously
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with certifications such as UL 294, Bluetooth SIG, GSMA, or similar
  • Experience supporting global product certifications across multiple regions
  • Familiarity with IoT devices, embedded systems, or access control technologies
  • Experience working in manufacturing or product development environments
  • Experience working with global or cross-regional teams

What Sets You Apart

  • Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach
  • Ability to connect technical design decisions with regulatory requirements
  • Comfort working across hardware, RF, and system-level considerations
  • Strong ownership mindset and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel certification efforts

Why Join Safetrust

  • Work on cutting-edge IoT and identity technology
  • Play a direct role in enabling global product launches
  • Gain exposure to international certification and regulatory environments
  • Collaborate with global Engineering, Product, and Operations teams
  • Join a fast-growing company solving real-world security challenges

Growth & Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in global hardware compliance, certification strategy, and IoT systems.

You will gain exposure to international regulatory environments, product development lifecycles, and emerging identity technologies—building a strong foundation for advanced engineering or compliance leadership roles.
