COMPANY OVERVIEW

ROLE PURPOSE

The General Accountant is responsible for performing and overseeing accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards, ensuring effective control of the organization's financial resources and full compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

General Accounting:

- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable & general ledger and banking.

  • Participate in regular tax & external audits
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing
  • Monitor the daily performance of the accounting members
  • Follow financial data rules into useable information and maintain updated records
  • Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives
  • Training/ guildline for colleagues about accounting policies and procedures, aligned with the company's targets
  • Ensure compliance with the law

Inventory:

  • Maintain Inventory records in compliance with SOP, current regulation and law.
  • Ensure costing applying in according to SOP, current regulation and laws
  • Review true & fair in Volume & Valuation whole Marou ( Factory + Shops)

Account payable:

  • Maintain account payable records in compliance with SOP, current regulation and law.
  • Ensure expense being booked to the right cost elements, cost centers.
  • Ensure claims are paid in time according to payment terms set out in contracts, SOP
  • Make accruals at month end for closing purpose (operating expense, interest expense..)
  • Maintain vendor's master and control Vendor's contact

Account Receivable:

  • Maintain account receivable records in compliance with SOP, current regulation and law.
  • Ensure sale are booked & reconcile with Sale Teams
  • Follow receivable aging according to payment terms set out in contracts, SOP
  • Make accruals at month end for closing purposes (interest income,..)

Fixed Assets & Other Assets:

  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register & Allocation Tools Registers
  • Review Depreciation & Amortization
  • Ensure to archive supporting docs for Fixed assets for 10 years
  • Maintain Fixed Asset & Tools master and control useful years

Other responsibilities:

  • Preparing management accounting reports, compliance report (SBV report...) if any
  • Reviewing all payment requests from other departments before approval from Chief Accountant
  • Reviewing and analysing accounting data with finance analyst team
  • Preparing ad-hoc report upon request
  • Prepare financial report in accordance with VAS and IFRS
  • Work closely with Chief Accountant to set up & control based on SOP.

EXTERNAL:

  • Monitoring and managing the organization's bank relationships
  • Support Chief Accountant to provide financial information to Banks/partners serving Funding relationship of the Company;
  • Follow up on interest rate/FX risk management
  • Debt facilities management

Tax responsibilities:

  • Prepare WHT declaration
  • Check VAT declaration
  • Prepare CIT Declaration
  • Assist Chief Accountant to work with tax authority/ Auditors/ Depts

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years working in relevant positions or 4 years as Senior auditor (Big 4 & Mazars auditors will be preferred)
  • Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Senior Auditor
  • English speaking & writing
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. Dynamic 365)
  • Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Team management skills.

PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in Power BI is a plus
  • IFRS/ GAAP Accounting Standard (e.g. ACCA, CMA or CPA) is a plus

Working hours: Monday - Friday

Working location: Green Building, 160 B2 Street, An Loi Dong Ward, Thu Duc City, HCMC.
