Fundraising Manager, Major Gifts

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager, Major Gifts to grow sustainable philanthropic income and build long term relationships with high net worth individuals (HNWI), family offices, family foundations and other philanthropic partners.

You will lead the major gifts pipeline from prospect identification and cultivation through solicitation and stewardship, working closely with senior management, Board members and programme teams to develop compelling funding opportunities that align donor interests with our mission and strategic priorities.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the major gifts fundraising strategy and achieve agreed income targets.

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of major donors and philanthropic prospects.

• Identify, cultivate and develop relationships with HNWIs, family offices, foundations and other strategic partners.

• Develop compelling funding proposals, cases for support and major gift opportunities.

• Lead donor engagement, solicitation, negotiations and stewardship to secure significant and multi year gifts.

• Strengthen donor retention and identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships.

• Work closely with senior leaders and programme teams to develop funding opportunities and communicate organisational impact.

• Monitor fundraising performance, pipeline health and income forecasts.

• Ensure appropriate donor due diligence, CRM management and compliance with fundraising policies and regulations.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in major gifts fundraising, philanthropy, business development, relationship management or a related field.

• Proven experience managing major donor portfolios and securing significant philanthropic gifts.

• Strong relationship building, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.

• Confidence engaging HNWIs, family offices, foundations and senior stakeholders.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to translate organisational priorities into compelling funding opportunities.

• Experience with donor CRM systems such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge would be an advantage.

• High integrity, discretion, resilience and a strong results orientation.

• CFRE or relevant fundraising qualification would be an advantage.
