Role summary
Own end-to-end finance for a fast-growing, for-profit institution in Vietnam. Youll enforce strong controls (VAS/IFRS), drive budgeting and cash discipline, modernize the finance stack (ERP, automation), and partner with leadership/board/investors to scale sustainably.
What youll do
Financial Strategy & Management
- Establish and maintain finance policies, controls, and SOPs compliant with VAS, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Run daily finance operations: GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory, billing & collections, treasury, and cash-flow management.
- Lead annual operating & capex budgets; forecast P&L, BS, and cash to ensure liquidity and long-term stability.
- Build financial models and business cases for new initiatives, expansion, and strategic partnerships.
Reporting, Compliance & Audit
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly/quarterly/annual closes and management packs.
- Produce VAS financial statements; support IFRS reporting as needed.
- Manage tax filings, inspections, and queries; liaise with tax advisors.
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors; ensure full audit readiness and on-time completion.
- Track KPIs, analyze trends/variances, and recommend actionable cost-out and revenue-up levers.
Financing, Risk & Governance
- Prepare statements, projections, and business plans to support external financing (e.g., bank facilities, bonds).
- Monitor covenant compliance and reporting obligations for lenders/investors.
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management across the finance cycle.
Transformation & Systems
- Lead process optimization and finance digitalization (ERP rollout/upgrade, workflow automation, BI dashboards).
- Partner cross-functionally to streamline procurement, billing, and revenue cycles.
- Elevate data quality and reporting speed; champion continuous improvement.
- Preferred stack: MISA ERP (or equivalent ERP such as SAP/Oracle/Dynamics), plus Excel/BI.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build, coach, and scale a high-performing finance team; instill accountability and excellence.
- Partner with CFO/BOD/operations leaders, investors on performance reviews and strategic decisioning.
- Provide clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders; influence outcomes with data.
What youll bring
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance (CPA/ACCA/CA strongly preferred).
- 7+ years progressive finance experience, including 3+ years leading teams.
- Deep command of VAS, tax, and statutory reporting; exposure to IFRS.
- Track record in monthly close excellence, audits, and internal control design.
- Hands-on experience driving ERP implementations/process automation (MISA a strong plus).
- Advisory/audit-firm background is valued; experience in education or healthcare or MNC environments is a plus.
- English (professional).
