Job Summary

Fraser Residence Hinode City in Hanoi Vietnam is slated to open in 2026. We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance, reporting directly to the property General Manager. The position provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, creates and executes a business plan that is aligned with the property and brand's business strategy and focuses on the execution of financial activities and the delivery of desirable financial results. Additionally, the role needs to ensure the accuracy, integrity, legality, and timeliness of financial reports in accordance with the country's regulations and property standards and support operation to achieve the property's financial goals.

Responsibilities

Core

  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders and managers as a trusted Finance Leader to deliver effective results, in alignment with applicable regulations, and Company's Policy & Procedure
  • Creates the annual operating budget for the property.
  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new business plans
  • Analyzes information, forecasts sales against expenses and creates annual budget plans.
  • Compiles information, analyzes and monitors actual sales against projected sales.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports, including variance analysis, budget, forecast, cash flow projection, and any other financial analysis as required
  • Provides analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities for property managers.
  • Implements a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks.
  • Work closely with local subsidiaries/ auditors/ tax agents/ vendors to ensure that all financial transactions and records are in accordance with applicable local accounting standards, as well as statutory and tax requirements.

Leadership

  • Communicates the strategic goals, the focus and the owner priorities to subordinates in a clear and precise manner.
  • To develop a strong Finance Team to business partnering for daily operations, closing forecasting and budgeting and ensuring overall compliance to finance SOP etc.
  • Guiding team on FA accounting, working with AP team to ensure payables are recorded/accrued and correctly paid.
  • Reviews audit issues to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor the purchasing process as applicable.

Stakeholder Management

  • Attends meetings and communicating with the owners, understanding the priorities and strategic focus.
  • Advises the GM and management on existing and evolving operating/financial issues.
  • Communicates financial concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand and drives desired behaviours.
  • Manages property working capital and cash flow in accordance with brand standard operating procedures and owner requirements.
  • Facilitates critique meetings to review information with management team.

Functions

  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
  • Ensures that the P&L is accurate (e.g., costs are properly matched to revenue, costs are recorded in the proper accounts).
  • Ensures compliance with management contract and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with standard and operating procedures.
  • Ensuring efficient utilization of all systems, in line with Frasers best practice and standard operating procedures ·
  • Liaise with internal & external auditor, regional and global finance team.
  • Perform ad-hoc research on accounting treatment and issues ·
  • Participate in group, global, or cluster projects as assigned
  • Perform other related ad-hoc duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
  • Minimum 5 years experience in handling full sets of accounts in hospitality industry.
  • Experience in pre-opening / start-ups will be added advantage
  • Familiar with SUN accounting system
  • Proficient in English and Vietnamese language
  • Sound knowledge of the hospitality industry
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and to critic and evaluate financial decisions
  • Strong analytical problem- solving skills and high computer literacy, especially Excel.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-driven and able to work within tight deadlines
