Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Base Administrator to join our team in Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our database systems, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. You will work closely with developers and other IT professionals to optimize database interactions and support our applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain database systems to ensure their availability, performance, and security.
• Design and implement database structures and schema for applications.
• Perform regular database backups, recovery, and restoration processes.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize application database interactions.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
• Conduct database migrations and upgrades as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in database administration or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with database backup and recovery techniques.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization of database systems.
• Familiarity with database security best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
