Job Description
Role Description
Design, implement, and maintain security controls that protect systems, networks, applications, and data. Work with IT and engineering teams to identify vulnerabilities, respond to threats, and improve the organization's security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain security tools, access controls, and protective technologies.
- Monitor security alerts and investigate suspicious activity.
- Assess vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation.
- Strengthen system, network, and cloud configurations.
- Support incident response, containment, and recovery.
- Integrate security requirements into infrastructure and application changes.
- Maintain documentation, automate security tasks, and support audits.
Qualifications
- Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience in security engineering, IT infrastructure, or incident response.
- Knowledge of networking, operating systems, identity management, and security principles.
- Familiarity with monitoring, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
- Scripting skills and experience with cloud security are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications, such as Security+, CISSP, or cloud security credentials, are an advantage.
