We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead and accelerate revenue growth for theAsianparent in Vietnam. This role is responsible for owning the local sales target, building a strong client portfolio across priority categories, and converting strategic opportunities into long-term partnerships.
The successful candidate will combine sharp commercial instincts with a consultative selling style, working closely with the Regional Lead, sales support, content, and account management teams to deliver best-in-class solutions for clients and consistent revenue growth for the business.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead generation, new client acquisition and new sales growth in Vietnam.
• Devising and executing the Vietnam sales strategy in collaboration with the Regional Lead.
• Owning client retention and growing spend across the existing Vietnam client portfolio.
• Leading and closing commercial discussions, including proposals, negotiations and deal closures.
• Providing regular pipeline updates, accurate forecasting and performance tracking against target.
• Creating and delivering compelling, insight led client pitches.
• Forecasting and planning campaigns and activity to meet both internal targets and client expectations.
• Working closely with the internal sales support, account management and content teams to ensure consistently high client satisfaction and flawless campaign delivery.
• Representing theAsianparent at client meetings, industry conferences and Third Party Industry events: leading or assisting the team as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of business development, sales or commercial experience, ideally within digital media, publishing, advertising, ad-tech, FMCG or a related industry.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Strong existing network of client and agency relationships in Vietnam, particularly across FMCG, baby & child care, healthcare, nutrition, retail or lifestyle categories.
• Experience selling integrated digital solutions (content, community, social, influencer, performance or media) is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable building and managing a sales pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting through to close and renewal.
• Commercial mindset: sharp instinct for identifying opportunities, structuring deals and unlocking new revenue.
• Consultative selling: ability to translate client objectives into tailored, insight-led solutions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and storytelling skills, with confidence presenting to senior client stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Highly organised, with the discipline to manage pipeline hygiene, forecasting and reporting.
• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy, ownership and accountability.
• Fluent in Vietnamese and professional working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
