B Overall Job Description:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for building and nurturing strategic partnerships with financial institutions (banks, finance companies, fintechs) and large enterprises that seek to leverageAlternative Datafor optimizing their risk policies, enhancing credit assessment, and driving business efficiency. You will act as a crucial bridge, ensuring partners fully grasp the value and applications of our Alternative Data solutions, thereby driving revenue growth and market expansion.
C Key Responsibilities
- New Partner Acquisition:
- Conduct market research to identify and approach potential partners (banks, finance companies, insurance firms, major e-commerce platforms, etc.) with needs for Alternative Data solutions.
- Establish initial relationships, present our products/services, and articulate the value-add of Alternative Data in risk management and business decision-making.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities and expand the client/partner network.
2.Existing Partner Management:
- Maintain and strengthen sustainable relationships with existing partners, ensuring their satisfaction and encouraging renewals/expansions of contracts.
- Regularly update on partner needs and challenges to propose timely and appropriate solutions.
- Act as a liaison between partners and internal departments (Policy, Product, Data Science, IT) to ensure effective project implementation and resolve any issues.
- Negotiation and Contract Closure:
- Analyze partner requirements, propose solutions, and develop compelling Business Proposals.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contract conditions with partners to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide legal support during contract signing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
3.Market Analysis and Product Feedback:
- Gather feedback from partners and the market regarding Alternative Data solutions, industry trends, and emerging needs.
- Compile and provide insights to the Product Development department to improve services and develop new features that align with customer demands.
- Analyze competitors and their business development strategies.
4.Reporting and Goal Achievement:
- Develop business plans, set sales targets, and KPIs for assigned partners.
- Monitor, analyze performance, and report regularly to management on partner development progress and revenue.
- Ensure the achievement and surpassing of set business objectives.
Requirements
- Education:Bachelor&aposs degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Banking & Finance or a related field. A Master&aposs degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in business development, partner management, or B2B solution sales within technology companies, banks, finance companies, or data service providers.
- Preference given to candidates with an existing network of relationships with management levels at banks, finance companies, and fintechs.
- Experienced or understanding of credit policy (Risk Policy), risk analysis, and specifically, direct experience with Alternative Data or Big Data projects in the financial sector is a plus
- Professional Knowledge & Skills:
- Deep understanding of the financial market, particularly in retail or SME lending products
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to conduct market analysis, develop business plans, and formulate effective strategies.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient English (especially communication and presentation skills).
