B. Purpose of the Job

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Business Development Manager based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The Business Development Manager has the business development objective of identifying and generating new prospects from key Client segments (namely Credit Cards Issuers, Wealth Management, Luxury Automobile, and Hospitality) and effectively converting these pipelines to Aspire Clients. The primary measurement of success is his/her achievement against Gross Profit targets assigned by the GM of Aspire Lifestyles Vietnam. He/she is expected to achieve or exceed the set sales margins and related KPIs.

C. Detailed Tasks (Critical tasks and skills of this position)

Drive Business Development

  • Generate new Prospects and Clients - Source new prospects and client on an ongoing basis
  • Source, develop and maintain prospect pipeline relationships with target companies in line with Aspire's overall target vertical strategy, understanding and influencing their HNWI management and loyalty strategies
  • Key verticals : Banking, Life Insurance and Luxury Consumer Brands
  • Develop draft proposals and propositions based on understanding of prospect procurement process, maximizing Group / Aspire influence and advantage
  • Identify and execute marketing activities required to penetrate the identified business segment.
  • Understand the Client organization structure so that the individual can identify potential buyers to drive new business opportunities.
  • Once Prospect is engaged, identity and determine how Aspire can support him/her in closing their current product gaps via consultative selling.
  • Lead in proposal generation and refinement, as well as the contracting process 
  • Identify opportunities in designing new value added services to support growth of business. Work closely with the team in executing these new value added services

Develop Market Knowledge

  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of clients and target markets within the market segment.
  • Establish strategy to maintain and develop sales with key clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and events that impact upon current and future business.

Drive Market Awareness

  • Report monthly on business developments and new opportunities.
  • Propose new business strategies that increase business.
  • Seek new business opportunities
  • Ensure representation of Company at Corporate functions that impact Market Segment and maximize network opportunities e.g. participation in conferences and exhibitions.

Review & Reporting

  • Active use of SF.com for entry of sales and clients activities

D. Job Profile

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • At least 12 years of direct Business-Business-Consumers (B-B-C) or B-B Sales Experience in a multinational company. 
  • Experience working directly with or have direct sales to key Aspire Lifestyles Client Segments (Financial institutions or Hospitality) targeting at affluent or high net-worth customers.
  • Vietnamese nationality, preference for those who have worked or graduated overseas from a credible university.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese
  • Demonstrate a consultative sales approach. Strong Customer Focus
  • Skilled negotiator with excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing. Well-versed in MS Excel, Word or Powerpoint
  • Self motivated and possess aggressive sales personality in achieving quantitative results
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver results

  • University graduate as minimum and post graduate is preferrable

Travel / Rotation Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)

  • Travel may be required between Hanoi and HCMC from time to time
