Your Role
As an Associate Product Manager at Virtual Internships, you will play a key role in shaping global internship experiences through data-driven product decisions. You will help design and refine products that create meaningful opportunities for students worldwide.
This isn&apost just another product role - its a chance to drive impact, ensuring that international experiences become more accessible and transformative for the next generation of professionals.
What Youll Be Doing
You&aposll lead product initiatives that directly impact thousands of students. Here&aposs everything you will be doing:
- Own features from ideation to launch - writing specs, managing development, and measuring success
- Spend hours interviewing users across our global platform - interns, companies, supervisors, and university partners
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to ship features that solve real user problems
- Analyze data to understand user behavior and make informed product decisions
- Write detailed PRDs that engineers can actually build from and stakeholders can understand
- Prioritize ruthlessly when everything seems urgent and resources are limited
- Run experiments to validate hypotheses and iterate based on learnings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth feature rollouts
- Present updates to leadership and defend your product decisions with data

Who We&aposre Looking For
Your Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to use data and user feedback to drive product decisions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and solving messy problems in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Able to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Effective communicator (in English), capable of working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business teams.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills to manage multiple initiatives.
- Basic understanding of software development processes and technical concepts.
- Excited about both strategy AND execution ideas mean nothing without shipping.
- Passionate about building products that expand access to global opportunities for students.
Your Experience
- 12 years of product management, consulting, or related experience in tech/startup environments.
- Experience using product management tools (e.g., Jira, Figma, Mixpanel, or similar).
You stand out from the crowd if:
- You have previous experience in EdTech, marketplace, or B2B2C products.
- Basic SQL or analytics experience.
- Background in user research or UX design.

- Life Event Leave: There are moments in life where your life responsibility is a higher priority than work (e.g. moving house, your best friend getting married, your sister having a baby) therefore, youll get 5 days of paid life-event leave to support these occasions. You also get a day off on your birthday. This is in addition to your Annual Leave.
