Role Overview
The HR Assistant Manager will act as a key HR to the Vietnam business, supporting the full spectrum of HR operations with a strong focus on payroll accuracy and HR operational excellence. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance, delivering seamless employee lifecycle processes, and supporting business growth through efficient and scalable HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
1.HR Business Partnering
- Partner closely with the Vietnam Country Director and functional leads to support business objectives through people strategies
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
- Support workforce planning and organizational structure optimization
2. Payroll & HR Operations (Core Focus)
- Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processes in Vietnam, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations
- Liaise with payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll processing, including salary, bonuses, overtime, and statutory contributions
- Validate payroll data, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation
- Ensure compliance with Vietnam labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Manage HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, contract management, and employee records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR systems and documentation
- Continuously improve HR operational processes and efficiencies
3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for Vietnam, across creative, production, and business roles
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and hiring strategies
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles
4. Talent Management
- Support talent mapping, succession planning, and development initiatives
5. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Support employee engagement initiatives aligned with TAG culture
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns
6. Compliance & Policies
- Ensure compliance with Vietnam labour laws and internal policies
- Support the development and localization of HR policies and procedures
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–7 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to payroll and HR operations
- Strong knowledge of Vietnam labour laws, payroll practices, and statutory requirements
- Proven experience managing payroll processes and working with vendors
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional teams
Preferred
- Experience in a regional or matrix organization
- Exposure to creative, digital, or production environments
- Fluent in Vietnamese and good working proficiency in English
