Assistant Finance Manager – FP&A

We are proud to be partnering with our client, a fast-growing regional payments infrastructure company headquartered in Singapore. With operations across Asia and a platform that powers cross-border pay-ins, payouts and settlements for businesses, the organisation is entering its next phase of growth. To support this, they are looking for a proactive Assistant Finance Manager to strengthen banking relationships, secure government funding and support strategic finance initiatives.

Position Overview

Based in Singapore and working closely with FP&A, Treasury, Compliance, Operations and Senior Management, you will centrally manage the group's banking relationships, banking infrastructure risk and financial institution network. A key focus of the role is identifying, applying for and securing government incentives, grants, banking schemes and financial support programmes available in Singapore. You will also support financial closing and reporting, and assist the FP&A team on strategic workstreams such as M&A, fundraising and IPO preparation. This role suits someone resourceful and detail-oriented who is comfortable driving cross-functional initiatives independently.

Key Responsibilities

You will act as the primary point of contact between the business and its banks, payment providers and financial institutions. This covers onboarding, KYC requests, periodic reviews and account maintenance, as well as monitoring banking-related risks and helping optimise account structures. On the funding side, you will identify relevant grants, tax incentives, fintech schemes and industry support programmes, assess eligibility with internal stakeholders, prepare applications and supporting documentation, and liaise with regulators, agencies and consultants. You will track application status and compliance obligations, and maintain a central tracker of available incentives and active applications. You will assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing, including reconciliations, accruals, variance analysis and management reporting. You will also support finance SOPs, controls and process improvements, and help prepare financial analysis, business cases and due diligence materials for M&A, fundraising and IPO-related projects, coordinating with internal teams and external advisers.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate has 4 to 7 years of experience in finance, treasury, banking relationships or financial operations, and holds a bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field. Prior exposure to Singapore grants, fintech incentives, MAS-related schemes or government support programmes is highly preferred, as is experience working with banks, payment institutions, fintechs or other financial services environments. You bring strong stakeholder management and organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools is required. This is an on-site role in Singapore, and flexible working arrangements are not available.
