Assistant Manager – Accounting & Finance
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Reporting to: Country Accounting & Finance Manager (Base in Hanoi)

Join Morrison Express Vietnam and become the finance lead for our Ho Chi Minh Station.
You will work closely with local management, Regional Finance, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and sound financial controls.
This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working independently, takes ownership, and is looking to broaden his or her expertise within a multinational freight forwarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), bank transactions, and month-end/year-end closing.
- including intercompany transactions where applicable of freight revenue, operating costs, and accounting transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and regional reporting within required timelines.
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, operating expenses, and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and submit tax declarations and statutory reports in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
- Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, banks, and external service providers
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards, tax regulations, and Group accounting policies.
Business Partnering
- Partner closely with Operations and Sales teams to support shipment costing, customer billing, and revenue recognition.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational and business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Solid knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
- Experience handling full-set accounting independently is highly preferred.
- Good working proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and regional teams.
- High integrity, a strong sense of ownership, and a continuous learning mindset.
