The role will actively support financial planning activities including budgeting, forecasting, monthly closing, tax compliance, and preparation of accurate financial reports. The successful candidate will also work closely with cross-functional teams and management to provide meaningful financial insights that support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Closing
- Lead and manage monthly and quarterly financial closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare annual financial statements and perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, to support management decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
2. Accounting Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and enhance internal control processes to strengthen governance and risk management.
- Ensure accurate and timely regulatory filings while maintaining compliance with company policies.
3. Accounting Operations Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and cash flow management.
- Ensure accounting transactions are properly recorded, reviewed, and aligned with company standards.
4. Audit & Governance
- Serve as the key contact point for internal and external auditors.
- Coordinate audit activities and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain high standards of corporate governance and compliance.
5. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial estimates.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide recommendations for improvement.
6. Business Support & Special Projects
- Take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives from the Finance Manager/Line Manager.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or audit functions.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in internal controls, with strong knowledge of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and Vietnam tax regulations, including VAT, CIT, PIT, and FCT.
- Chief Accountant Certificate is mandatory.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, P&L analysis, and presenting financial insights to management.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail with a structured and accuracy-focused working approach.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
