Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on and analytical finance professional with strong technical accounting and Group reporting experience, who is also keen to develop broader exposure across FP&A and HK IPO readiness.
Reporting to the Finance Controller, this is a hands-on and high-visibility role responsible for Group consolidation, financial reporting and management reporting across a multi-entity Group comprising approximately 16 subsidiaries and associates, operating across multiple currencies and regions.
The successful candidate will work closely with regional finance teams, senior management, auditors, IT and other corporate functions, translating financial data into meaningful insights while strengthening reporting quality, controls and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Group Reporting & Consolidation
- Lead and manage the Group month-end and year-end close and consolidation processes.
- Coordinate reporting submissions across multiple entities and currencies.
- Review entity reporting packages, account mappings, reconciliations and supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and review consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation and Group-level adjustments.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reporting and supporting schedules for future HK IPO listing, statutory and annual reporting requirements.
- Maintain the standalone financial accounts of 4Divinity Group., including month-end close, reconciliations and statutory schedules.
- Investigate reporting and data-quality issues and work with entity finance teams to drive timely resolution and improve the overall close process.
Accounting Governance, Controls & Audit
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and applicable HKFRS/IFRS requirements.
- Support technical accounting assessments and position papers for non-routine transactions, significant judgements and disclosure matters.
- Maintain robust closing controls, balance-sheet substantiation and documentation standards.
- Coordinate external and statutory audit requirements, respond to audit queries and support timely resolution of audit findings.
- Support the preparation of financial information and analysis for senior management, the Board and Audit Committee.
FP&A & Business Performance
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
- Consolidate and review business submissions and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards and clear narratives explaining financial performance and key movements.
- Analyse revenue, margins, profitability, working capital, cash conversion and cost performance.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities and provide actionable insights to management.
- Develop financial models, scenario analyses and ad-hoc decision-support materials.
Business Partnering & Other Responsibilities
- Coordinate intercompany balances, transactions, reconciliations and settlement matters.
- Provide financial information and schedules supporting treasury, tax, statutory compliance and other Group requirements.
- Work collaboratively with regional finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc finance projects and strategic initiatives as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in Group reporting, consolidation and FP&A.
- A degree in Finance, Accountancy or a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA Singapore or equivalent.
- Strong practical knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS, Group consolidation and financial reporting.
- Experience working with multiple entities, currencies and regional finance teams.
- Experience coordinating with external auditors and responding to audit queries.
- Big 4 audit experience, combined with commercial finance experience would be a strong advantage
- Prior experience in a listed company, multinational group, or within the technology, publishing, or other fast-growing international sectors will be an added advantage.
- Experience with IPO preparation, listing readiness or transaction-related financial reporting.
- Hong Kong IPO / HKEX listing experience would be a strong advantage.
- Strong ability to read and interpret English and Chinese contracts.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with geographically dispersed teams.
