Asia Pacific Finance Executive / Accountant

(1 year contract)

We are looking for an Asia Pacific Finance Executive / Accountant to join our regional Finance team and support the financial reporting, finance systems, compliance, and accounting needs of Our Daily Bread Ministries across Asia Pacific.

Reporting to the Asia Pacific Finance Director, you will work closely with finance teams across the region and play an important role in strengthening financial reporting, systems and processes across our Asia Pacific entities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly financial reporting and consolidation across Asia Pacific entities.
• Review financial submissions for completeness and consistency and assist in preparing consolidated management reports and analyses.
• Maintain the regional repository of finance policies, SOPs, reporting guidelines and other finance documentation.
• Maintain and update regional compliance and risk registers, track key deadlines and follow up on outstanding matters.
• Support implementation of a new cloud-based accounting system and integration with new operational systems.
• Assist with data migration, testing, process documentation, training and implementation of new finance systems.
• Support standardisation and improvement of finance processes across the region.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support to selected smaller Asia Pacific entities, including reconciliations, month-end closing and monthly reporting.
• Assist with regional finance reviews, projects, meetings and other initiatives.
• Travel occasionally within Asia Pacific for finance review visits, system projects and training.

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Job Requirements

• A Christ-centred believer with a deep love for God's Word and alignment with the mission and values of Our Daily Bread Ministries.
• Preferably 2–4 years of relevant accounting, audit, financial reporting or finance operations experience.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and monthly financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence in learning new cloud-based systems.
• Experience with accounting software or finance-system implementation would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, dependable and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues across different countries and cultures.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the Asia Pacific region.
• Ability and willingness to share faith journey, demonstrate alignment with the ministry's mission and values, and provide professional and/or personal references.
