Job Title: Validation Team Lead
Job Summary
A Validation Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of validation engineers to ensure
that vehicles, meet defined performance, functional, and quality requirements. This role
combines technical expertise, people management, and project coordination, ensuring
that validation activities are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of validation engineers (attribute, performance, or
functional testing)
• Plan and manage validation activities for assigned projects or programs
• Define test strategies, plans, and procedures based on project requirements
• Ensure validation deliverables meet quality, timeline, and regulatory requirements
• Track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans
• Collaborate with R&D, design, QA, and project management teams
• Review test results, analyze data, and ensure proper documentation
• Facilitate team meetings, status reporting, and project reviews
• Drive continuous improvement in validation processes and methodologies
Key Areas of Validation
• Functional and performance testing
• NVH, ride & handling, and braking systems
• Thermal, electrical, and environmental validation
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering
field
• Proven experience in automotive or vehicle validation
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems, testing methodologies, and validation
processes
• Experience leading a small to medium-sized team
• Proficiency with validation tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, dSPACE, MATLAB/Simulink)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with EV systems, advanced vehicle technologies
• Exposure to global validation programs and multi-location coordination
• Certification in project or program management (PMP, PRINCE2)
