Job Description:
We are looking for a strategic, highly data-fluent Assistant Manager to co-lead our unified Transportation Business Intelligence (BI) & Finance Business Partner (FBP) team. In this critical leadership role, you will bridge the gap between complex logistics data and financial discipline, overseeing both financial controllership and automated operational visibility for the Transportation function.
Your mission is to drive financial integrity, deliver high-accuracy forecasts, and build automated analytics solutions that empower senior leadership to optimize transport efficiency, manage costs, and scale commercial strategies.
Team Leadership & Strategic Alignment:
- Co-lead, mentor, and upskilled a cross-functional team of BI Analysts and Finance Business Partners, fostering a culture of data fluency and commercial acumen.
- Establish robust analytics frameworks and standard KPIs to ensure all operational logistics performance is directly linked to bottom-line P&L impact.
Financial Governance & Cost Control :
- Accountable for the end-to-end rolling transportation cost forecast, ensuring the team achieves and maintains at least 97% forecasting accuracy within agreed timelines.
- Act as the ultimate financial gatekeeper and reliable partner for the Transportation team, ensuring 100% accuracy in quarterly CAPEX reporting and timely alignment on financial inputs .
- Drive financial integrity by establishing robust frameworks to maintain 100% data integrity and on-time delivery of monthly BAU Transportation cost reports/dashboards, explicitly highlighting key cost variance drivers.
- Partner with TS Operations to co-lead data-driven initiatives to achieve CPO targets and quantify the precise financial impact of network modifications.
Advanced Data Engineering & BI Solutions :
- Oversee and guarantee the absolute stability of core transportation data pipelines/workflows, ensuring daily dashboards refresh on time and maintain 99% data accuracy between upstream operational data sources and downstream reporting layers.
- Maintain automated data pipelines for TS KPI and incentive calculations with a strict maximum 1% error rate.
- Champion the digital transformation of the function by deprecating manual Excel/Google Sheet tracking and fully migrating legacy workflows into automated, scalable BI dashboards/reports.
- Direct the development of advanced data products, optimization algorithms (e.g., truck plans), and anomaly-detection views to eliminate financial waste (vendor overcharges, low utilization).
- Build dynamic simulation models to test new incentive schemes and project the financial/operational impact of network modifications (e.g., Cut-Off Times, route adjustments, dispatch frequencies) before rollout.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other related quantitative courses .
- 5+ years of industry experience in Commercial Finance, Financial Controlling, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics, with at least 2 years in a dedicated team leadership/management role.
- Strong preference for candidates with a solid understanding of unit economics, logistics P&L, supply chain, or e-commerce operations.
- Advanced SQL proficiency is compulsory hands-on experience handling raw cost data and building complex financial/simulation models.
- Proven experience in directing data pipeline automation, dashboard development, and setting up anomaly detection or optimization algorithms
- Exceptional analytical thinking, professional confidence to challenge operational assumptions, and excellent written/verbal communication skills in both English and Vietnamese to present data effectively to executive leadership.
- A hands-on leader with a strong execution can-do attitude, open to performing site/hub visits to verify assumptions when needed
