Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

As Trade Manager, you will lead the development and execution of trade marketing strategies across key accounts in both traditional pharmacy and modern trade channels, with a strong focus on business insights, data‑driven decision making, and sales force excellence. Your focus will be on driving sell‑in and sell‑out performance, optimizing trade investments, and strengthening strategic customer partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging market, shopper, and sales data to generate business insights, segment customers, and design trade marketing programs that support sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Owning key trade KPIs (e.g. sell‑out, distribution, visibility, ROI on trade spend) and leading regular performance reviews with Sales and Management.
  • Driving sales force excellence by equipping sales teams with strong product knowledge, clear USPs, data‑driven selling stories, and in‑store execution standards.
  • Partnering with the Country Manager and Sales leadership to define sales routines, performance dashboards, and coaching frameworks that raise sales capability over time.
  • Monitoring competitor activities, pricing, and in‑store execution to identify risks and opportunities, and recommending timely counter‑measures.
  • Providing clear, actionable insights and recommendations to the Country Manager through structured reports, dashboards, and business reviews.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in retail pharmacy trade and/or OTC / modern trade key accounts, ideally within pharma, health supplements, or FMCG.
  • Proven track record in sales, brand management, or trade marketing with responsibility for channel growth, trade programs, and key account development.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills, with demonstrated ability to work with sales data, market insights, and reporting/dashboard tools to generate clear business recommendations.
  • Experience driving sales force excellence (e.g., sales routines, performance KPIs, coaching, or tools/CRM usage) is a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure effective execution in the field.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for trade visits, in‑store audits, and customer engagement across regions.
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, nursing, medicine, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
