  • Execute timely preparation of all expense reports, budgets, and other reports as requested by the company, customers, and suppliers.
  • Travel for sales activities, visiting new and existing customers, and attend relevant trade shows to promote products and services.

THE ROLE

Yes, you read that right we're looking for a SUPERSTAR. Krayden is unconventional, and so is this role. We want someone who understands complex technical applications and can manage multiple projects to drive sales and profitability.

We're seeking seasoned engineering professionals with 10 years of sales experience, ideally in the chemical industry. This is a consultative sales role. Some cold calling may happen, but most leads come from various sources for you to manage.

You'll succeed if you love diving into technical details and helping customers choose the right solutions. We serve customers across the United States, Mexico, Asia, Brazil, and Europe you'll be their go-to expert. Cool, right

So, what will you be doing

You'll work closely with our applications engineering and sales teams to manage multiple projects, support customers with technical questions, recommend the right products, and ensure smooth project execution.

Meet or exceed sales targets for Krayden products (33% of your time)

  • Retain and grow sales in assigned accounts.
  • Develop and implement account plans and campaigns to identify additional business with past purchasers and new accounts to penetrate accounts and secure a greater share of customers supply needs.
  • Probe customer and prospects need to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Promote products and services.

Drive product initiatives and customer solutions (33% of your time)

  • Coordinate and execute special product offerings with product managers to increase sales and vendor support.
  • Conduct outbound communications via face-to-face, telephone, email, fax, and mail to identify customer needs and provide Krayden solutions, including interactions with both purchasing and engineering.

Support technical excellence and identify new business opportunities (33% of your time)

  • Engage in continuous learning by reviewing internal resources, participating in technical training sessions, and studying customer presentations to enhance understanding of Krayden products and applications.
  • Support customers with technical queries and recommend the right products for their applications.
  • Handle inbound communications, troubleshoot complex customer problems, respond to inquiries/service requests, and respond to requests for proposals/quotes, regional referrals, blanket orders, large order pricing/discounting.
  • Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources.

What skills do you NOT need

Before we list the skills you do need, it is important that you know what skills or experience we do NOT require:

  • Product knowledge: You do not need to know anything about any of the products Krayden sells, nor any of the services we provide. All will be taught on the job.

What skills do you require

  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience; chemical manufacturing or engineering experience preferred
  • Proven experience driving successful sales results (sales growth year over year, improved customer retention, quantifiable business results, etc.)
  • Proven results (quantifiable, definitive plan, execution, and results) in providing value added service to customers
  • Strong PC and computer software experience Microsoft word, outlook, excel, PowerPoint and CRM Software
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical/discerning skills
  • Exceptional listening and probing skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate and direct the work of others
  • Ability to work independently in assigned territory

Bonus skills:

The job does not require these skills, but they are welcome extras, be sure to mention them.

  1. An Engineering Degree: You do not need to be an engineer, but our products are by nature technical, so you will need to be able to grasp the concepts. If you want to learn, we're able to teach.
  2. Project management experience: You will need to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This means reporting internally as well as externally to both customers and suppliers. Strong project management skills will help you enormously.
  3. Presentation skills: You will be presenting all the time, be it internally or to customers or suppliers. If you are comfortable in front of a public audience you will be able to use those skills here.
