We are at an early but fast-growing stage, backed by advisors with experience from top music,
edtech, and gaming companies. Now, we are building our core tech team to lay the
foundation for a world-class product.
Role Objective
As our first Tech Lead, you will help define the technology foundation and co-create a product
that empowers billions to unlock their musical potential.
- Design and own the end-to-end technical architecture of a mobile-first (iOS-first) product.
- Drive the full development cycle, from planning to hands-on coding and release.
- Make critical decisions on tracking, monetization, and subscription systems.
- Build development processes and standards that can scale as the team grows.
- Act as the key bridge between engineering, product, and design.
Key Responsibilities
1) System Design & Architecture
- Analyze product requirements and translate them into a scalable technical roadmap.
- Evaluate and recommend technology stacks for mobile app, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
- Design reliable, secure, and future-proof architecture.
- Own the tracking and analytics stack:
+ Event tracking (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
+ Attribution (e.g., AppsFlyer, Adjust)
+ Data pipelines (if needed)
- Design and implement monetization & subscription systems:
+ Ads integration (e.g., AdMob, Facebook Audience Network)
+ Subscription infrastructure (Apple IAP, Stripe, RevenueCat)
2) Development & Deployment
- Build and maintain the core backend (or coordinate with outsource partners if needed).
- Support the Mobile Developer in delivering a smooth, high-performance app.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines, version control, and testing frameworks.
- Monitor performance and maintain the infrastructure.
3) Technical Team Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and grow the engineering team.
- Establish a proactive, transparent, and high-ownership engineering culture.
4) Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Design, Learning Design, and the Founder to translate ideas into a high-quality product.
- Ensure technical decisions align with UX goals and monetization strategy.
Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years in software development, ideally with experience in consumer-grade mobile products.
- 2+ years in a Tech Lead or Architect role.
- Proven track record of shipping products from MVP to production.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in at least one popular backend stack (Node.js, Python, etc.).
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture (especially iOS), REST APIs, and authentication.
- Hands-on experience implementing tracking and monetization systems:
+ Event tracking & analytics.
+ Ads SDKs and in-app purchase flows.
- Experience deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
- Knowledge of data security best practices.

- Passion for building products that help people learn and grow.
Nice to Have
- Background in music, gaming, or edtech apps.
- Experience with gamified learning or apps with >10,000+ active users.
- Expertise in scaling architecture for subscriptions and monetization.
- Interest in music or music education technology.
Bonus AI Fluency: You dont need to be an AI engineer but we expect AI-native habits:
- Using GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex, or similar tools to increase speed and quality.
- Using ChatGPT or Claude to scaffold architecture ideas, explain edge cases, or write integration docs.
- Automating bug template generation, error log parsing, or test case prep with LLMs.
- Bonus: experience integrating AI-native interfaces (voice, language, recommendation).
