Overview
We are building a secure, scalable end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) messaging platform with a hybrid model (core platform + client customizations). This role focuses on ensuring security-first architecture while maintaining flexibility and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction with a strong focus on security architecture (E2EE, data protection, secure APIs)
- Own and safeguard core platform (encryption engine, sync model, backend systems)
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security consistency across all client implementations
- Define architecture standards and enforce best practices across teams
- Mentor senior engineers and guide technical leads
- Collaborate with Product/Business to align secure solutions with client needs
- Drive technical roadmap and ensure architecture is validated through real execution flows
Requirements
- 10+ years in software engineering, strong system architecture background
- Proven experience in security-focused systems (secure messaging, encryption, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of E2EE, cryptography basics, secure system design
- Experience in hybrid models (platform + customization / product + service)
- Solid understanding of scalable backend, API-first, modular architecture
- Ability to translate architecture into clear diagrams and validated execution
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
