Product Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product customization and adaptations based on customer and market requirements
• Analyze technical requirements and define suitable product configurations
• Support design of local product variants and minor modifications
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (drawings, CAD, BOM) in line with HQ standards
• Coordinate and implement engineering changes (ECR/ECN) with internal teams
• Ensure compliance with international standards and certifications (e.g., EU Directive, UL, BIS)
• Support product cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing for continuous improvement
• Provide technical support to regional teams and customers during application discussions and audits

Requirements:

• 8–10+ years of experience in electric motors or industrial gearboxes, including application analysis and design
• Solid understanding of product development processes and engineering change management (ECR/ECN)
• Experience working with R&D processes and product lifecycle systems (e.g., CAD, BOM management, technical documentation, engineering release)
• Proven background in manufacturing environments, collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams
• Exposure to global engineering organizations, working with central R&D and international product teams
• Ability to support customer technical discussions, including feasibility studies and product customization
