Job Description

Role Overview

  • Orient Software partners with leading organisations across Australasia and Europe to build high-performing software engineering teams and deliver technology solutions at scale.
  • As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and evolve our recruitment function — combining strong people leadership, strategic hiring capability, technology, data, and AI to build a more scalable and high-performing talent organisation.
  • This is a leadership role with direct executive visibility and significant ownership. You will shape how we attract, assess, and engage talent, while leading the team through the next stage of recruitment transformation.

What You'll Lead

  • Talent Acquisition Strategy & Transformation: Own the evolution of our talent acquisition strategy, processes, and operating model to support business growth. Identify opportunities to improve scalability, quality, speed, and candidate experience through technology, automation, and AI.
  • AI & Recruitment Technology: Lead the adoption and optimisation of AI-enabled recruitment technologies across sourcing, screening, assessment, interviewing, and talent engagement. Evaluate solutions, drive implementation, establish effective workflows, and measure business impact.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building: Lead, coach, and develop the Talent Acquisition team. Build a high-performance culture and equip recruiters with modern, technology-enabled ways of working while maintaining strong recruitment fundamentals and human judgement.
  • Data-Driven Talent Acquisition: Establish and continuously improve recruitment metrics, dashboards, and reporting across sourcing, pipeline conversion, time-to-hire, hiring quality, and team performance. Translate data into actionable insights and improvement initiatives.
  • Executive & Business Partnership: Partner closely with the COO, hiring managers, delivery leaders, and business stakeholders to understand workforce requirements, shape hiring strategies, and provide clear, data-backed recommendations on talent and recruitment.
  • Technical & International Hiring: Build scalable talent pipelines for software engineering, quality engineering, R&D, AI, and other technology roles supporting international delivery. Strengthen sourcing strategies across local and international talent markets.
  • Employer Brand & Talent Community: Strengthen Orient's talent attraction strategy through digital sourcing, employer branding, university and developer-community engagement, and long-term talent community development.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate and manage recruitment technology, sourcing, and external talent partners. Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support hiring outcomes and long-term workforce planning.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment, with at least 3 years in a people leadership or team management role
  • Proven experience leading a TA team and delivering hiring results in a technology, software, IT services, or similarly fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or scaling recruitment technology, automation, or AI-enabled solutions, with a focus on measurable business impact
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end technical recruitment, including engineering, QE, R&D, AI, and other technology talent
  • Proven ability to lead process transformation and organizational change, influencing teams and stakeholders to adopt new ways of working
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to translate recruitment data into business insights and decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage and present to executive leadership and international stakeholders
  • Professional fluency in English (C1 or equivalent), with experience working across international teams, clients, or business environments
  • Strong leadership presence, sound judgement, and the ability to balance technology, data, and human-centred talent practices

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting recruitment for international clients or distributed delivery teams across Australasia, Europe, or North America
  • Experience with modern ATS, recruitment automation, AI recruiting platforms, or AI co-piloting tools
  • Experience building talent pipelines through universities, bootcamps, developer communities, or other strategic talent partnerships
  • Strong knowledge of the Vietnamese technology talent market, including technical salary benchmarking
